MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions are announced in some areas as Typhoon Ferdie (Meranti) is expected to bring in heavy rains, especially to the Northernmost part of the country.
Due to Typhoon Ferdie, the following storm signals are raised:
Signal #1 • Abra • Cagayan • Northern Isabela • Northern Ilocos Sur • Kalinga
Signal #2 • Apayao • Northern Cagayan • Ilocos Norte
Signal #3 • Babuyan Group of Islands
Signal #4 • Batanes
Classes are suspended in the following:
• Ilocos Norte – Preschool to High school
• Cagayan – All Levels (Public and Private)
Signal #1 – No classes in Kindergarten
Signal #2 – No classes in Kindergarten, Elementary and
High School Signal #3 – No classes in Kindergarten, Elementary, High School and College
