#WalangPasok; Class suspensions on October 17, 2016, Monday Due to Typhoon Karen (Sarika)

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions (#WalangPasok) on October 17, 2016, Monday, due to typhoon Karen were announced today.

The ongoing onslaught of Typhoon Karen (Sarika), has prompted the announcement of the following class suspensions in affected area. Karen had made landfall on Sunday at 2:30 A.M. over Baler, Aurora.

No classes on October 17, 2016, Monday

, in the following schools:

• Muntinlupa City – ALL LEVELS, public and private schools.
• Nueva Ecija – ALL LEVELS, public and private schools.
• Mandaluyong City – ALL LEVELS, public and private schools.

 Marikina City - NSTP classes scheduled on Oct. 16, 2016 are canceled.

Class Suspensions for September 14, 2016, Wednesday, Due to Typhoon Ferdie

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions are announced in some areas as Typhoon Ferdie (Meranti) is expected to bring in heavy rains, especially to the Northernmost part of the country.

Due to Typhoon Ferdie, the following storm signals are raised:

Signal #1 • Abra • Cagayan • Northern Isabela • Northern Ilocos Sur • Kalinga

Signal #2 • Apayao • Northern Cagayan • Ilocos Norte

Signal #3 • Babuyan Group of Islands

Signal #4 • Batanes

Classes are suspended in the following:

• Ilocos Norte – Preschool to High school

• Cagayan – All Levels (Public and Private)

Classes Suspended in Angeles City on August 17, 2016, Wednesday

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga – Classes are suspended in all levels (public and private) in Angeles City, tomorrow, August 17, 2016, Wednesday.

This came as a surprise, since classes had resumed last Tuesday, August 16, 2016, despite the "No Classes" announcement of Gov. Pineda for the province of Pampanga.


Reportedly, Mayor Ed Pamintuan issued a public advisory at 9 pm, August 16.

“With the orange rainfall alert warning, Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan has declared the SUSPENSION of classes in Angeles City in all levels in both public and private tomorrow, Wednesday, 17 August 2016.”
